Six Flags Over Georgia 7/16/2009
The day started out by walking from our hotel right across the street at 8am. As soon as we turned the corner Goliath was BAM! right there. It looked absolutely huge (and awesome) and got us pumped up for the day.

We got our tickets, free ponchos (there was a chance of rain but it never actually rained) and got inside the park. ERT started around 8:45 and included Georiga Scorcher, Georgia Cyclone, and Acrophobia. Cyclone was pretty good with straong ejector air in the back seat, albeit rough. Acrophobia put a pretty good hurting on the nuts but the rotating seats and cool music more than made up for it. Scorcher was a great stand up coaster that I easily prefer to Riddler's Revenge and Vortex. It was very quick and had great forces, while not hurting my legs like RR! Don't you just love the sight of no lines:

After ERT we got our q-bots and the park opened! First we headed to Monster Mansion since that was the new for 2009 attraction. With our q-bot we got on right away and it was a really fun ride. Right across the way was Canyon Blaster, the kiddie coaster, so we decided to get that out of the way next. Good thing we did because it was constantly closed because of issues throughout the day. Next up we booked the baddest coaster in the park, Goliath. With our q-bot in hand we skipped this line:

Goliath immediately jumped to my #2 steel coaster. It was filled with airtime and everything in between the hills was really amazing as well. No question over it's placement...only SROS has more to it. The next couple of hours consisted of getting all of the other credits in this order: Superman, GASM, Ninja, Mindbender, and the Dahlonega Mine Train. Mindbender easily stuck out as the best coaster in the park besides Goliath, but Shockwave at SFOT is still better. After the credit run the park served us a catered lunch and then took us on a behind the scenes tour. It started behind GASM and went all the way back behind Mindbender. It allowed for some cool shots like these:

Now that we had been on all the coasters we rode Goliath about 3 more times. After being amazed those 3 times (and all in the back seat) we decided to leave the park and take a rest, since this was our 7th park in 5 days. A few hours later we came back and at dinner, and grabbed some more rides o on Goliath:

Eventually it came time for the park to close, but that meant that ERT was about to begin! We had an hour on Mindbender and Goliath, and then an extra 30 mins on Goliath. First I hit up Mindbender for 2 rides, once in the front and once in the back.

It was pitch black outside for ERT, I just had to use a pic from earlier since I didn't bring my camera back to the park. After those 2 rides I headed over to my baby Goliath. I was one of the first to get there so I chose a back row seat. I rode back there probably about 30+ times during the 90 minute ERT session. I also got a few front row rides for good measure. I will go ahead and end with one more picture of Goliath as it flies back towards the station:

Overall it was a very fun day and the park deserves a lot of credit for that...the 2 ERT sessions were amazing! Its always awesome to be riding at 11PM with no lines. The park itself was very nice also, as Six Flags built the park from the ground up (the only others like this are SFOT and SFStl). I really hope that I get to go to the park again sometime soon!
