Alabama Adventure 7/15/2009

After visiting Lake Winnie Amusement Park we drove a couple of hours over to Alabama Adventure. The parking lot seemed fairly full, but everyone was in the water park. Right away we did the 3 coasters, which were all walk on. The boomerang was very smooth, especially for a ride that has been moved. The kiddie coaster was a typical fun Miler. Rampage on the other hand was amazing! The ride was running fast for us and had a lot of airtime. I didn't know where to place it but later on in the day I knew where it belonged.

We spent the rest of the evening at dinner. After we hate the park had Robb do a trivia game for various prizes they had available. The second question asked what happened to the other side of their drop tower and I knew the answer. The best prize remaining was a piece of Rampage track, so I picked it up:

It doesn't look too much like track because it got raped when an upstop wheel malfunctioned and ripped up the track. I later talked to a ride supervisor that told me the track was 300* Fahrenheit when they found it on the ground after the track flew off. Its pretty cool to have but I wanted the blueprints of Rampage they had more (the first correct answer got the blueprints). I got to take a picture of them anyways:

After dinner we did some of the other rides in the park, including the himalaya, the rapids, and the ferris wheel. The himalaya ran an insane and suprt long cycle. The rapids on the other hand were really lame as we got more wet in the queue line than we did on the ride. I enjoyed the ferris wheel because it provided nice views of Rampage:

After doing those rides it was back to Rampage for the night. I got the last 4 rides before the park closed in the very front seat with the ride supervisor I mentioned earlier. Shortly after the park closed 90 mins of ERT on Rampage began, and it was one of the most insane ERT sessions ever! The ride had been greased up that morning and we filled up all of the trains so it was running really fast. The rides were so wild Rampage earned a spot as my #3 wood coaster. Here is one last picture to show how dark it was for ERT:
